Covers Covers Covers

Hey -  I LOVE COVERS. 
Hardy boys. Tin Tin. Eerie and Creepy magazine. Comic books (all kinds). Famous Monsters of Film land. National Geographic. Manga. Hunting magazines. Crime novels. Pornography. Farmers almanacs. Weird science fiction and romance covers. Anything from the 50's, 60's & 70's. You name it.
I just love covers.
So I did these as fun little projects. No real plan - I was doing the digital paintings already and I thought it would be fun to incorporate them into some faux covers. Playing with fonts and type is excellent good times - so this was a party for me. I 'made up' the names of authors and critics, as well the titles. So any likeness to any living thing / being / dog / cat etc - etc, is PURELY weird and should be laughed off. I hope you get some chucks from these.

Water Colors 2

      Here is the 2nd posting of water colors that I have done for the (working) outdoor season of 2013. I painted through the summer and into the fall - weather depending. It was excellent. Lots of light & wind.
I'm very happy I took the time to do these paintings. In that some of the places  - ( just a couple / few ) no longer exist - or have been changed irreparably due to development and construction. 
I have included most of the works that I have done for the season. I feel this is a thorough and honest covering of my attempts to manifest my mission statement - " how light and color work to define form. "
